New Life provides people in recovery (PIR) of mental illness and people with disabilities with diversified vocational training to enhance their holistic wellbeing and help them reintegrate into the society. This year, the Sheltered Workshops and Social Enterprises have together launched a series of "Gift For Good” gift packs, with the participation from PIR in the production and packaging process.

The new "Gift For Good” series comprises healthy food products, personal care products as well as handicrafts, providing more working opportunities for PIR. By purchasing the products, clients and corporate partnership can both celebrate the festival and support the people in need. When the companies send the warmest blessings to the recipients through the gifts, the sales revenue also generates income for PIR. It is even more meaningful to businesses as it can be a practice to enhance the brand image and fulfill the social responsibility.

With great support from the business sector, New Life has been receiving requests and orders on gift packs since six months ago, as many companies would prefer the gifts made by New Life as their corporate Christmas gifts to partners and staff. We hope while businesses deliver their blessings with New Life’s gift packs, they also demonstrate the support for the underprivileged at the same time.

The sales revenue will be used to support our service users in the form of training allowance. Furthermore, your support propels our ongoing development of new products, which subsequently provides a more diverse job training to the service users and helps them explore their potential.

From Products to Services: Diversified Support

Apart from the special Christmas gift pack series, multiple products made by PIR are available for purchase at New Life’s various social enterprises throughout the year. For instance, the premium household products designed with drawings by PIR at "gift330”, including the special edition stainless steel thermos bottle in collaboration with Mama Wata, the white ceramic cup, plate and bowl, and tote bags. All of the above products’ prices range from HK$ 98 - 368, with a special discount of 5%off on all "gift330” products in December.

For the special collection "rwb330” introducing a crossover with a famous Hong Kong designer Stanley Wong (commonly known as "anothermountainman”), New Life has leveraged on the classical "Red-White-Blue” material to create a series of nostalgic textile products fabricated by the PIR at the Sheltered Workshops.

Customised sessions and corporate or individual sponsorships at the Inclusive Coffee Academy of "so330” offer the "Inclusive barista” training to the disabled or underprivileged, providing the opportunities for them to return to work and promoting body, mind and spirit wellbeing and social inclusion.
